ABOUT AIDAN
Aidan is an entrepreneur and clean technology investor who co-founded the world’s first all-digital all-electric car rental company.
He is passionate about exposing the truths beyond the hype around the rise of electric vehicles.
His extensive research led to him writing his explosive book ELECTRIC REVOLUTION which is coming out later this year.
The blog on this website will feature twice-weekly excerpts from the book and major developments in the world of electric cars and climate change.
AIDAN’S BACKGROUND
Aidan is a senior business and technology leader. He has created and delivered millions in value through successful technology transformations in financial services.
A keen cyclist and outdoorsman, Aidan was not an early adopter or advocate for electric vehicles, or particularly aware of environmental matters.
However, the more he researched air pollution, climate change and the impact of fossil fuel-powered vehicles, the more passionate he became about the role that electric vehicles will play in averting the impending climate disaster.
CLIMATE CHANGE
2010 to 2020 was the hottest decade on record. July 2021 was Earth’s hottest month on record.
2021 brought an unprecedented level of climate-driven disasters across the globe, including wildfires, floods and hurricanes. Rain -rather than snow- fell on the summit of Greenland’s giant ice cap for the first time in human history.
In September 2021, The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change predicted that the world is now on a catastrophic path to climate disaster. We need to reduce emissions by 45% by 2030 to reach carbon neutrality, however current forecasts indicate it will actually increase by 16%, leading to a disastrous 2.7-degree global temperature increase.

Aidan had a very successful 25-year career in the financial services sector, specialising in technology transformation.
His work involved business travel but following yet another unsatisfactory car rental experience, he decided to disrupt the industry by partnering up with fellow technology leader Renaud Marquet and co-founded UFODRIVE, the world’s first all-digital all-electric car rental company.
His desire to help accelerate the move to clean mobility, passion for great customer experience, combined with game-changing technology has transformed the car rental experience for thousands of satisfied customers.
UFODRIVE now has 18 locations across 8 countries in Europe with many more opening, including in North America and beyond.
